An apple a day won’t keep the pesticides away
An apple a day won’t keep the pesticides away. Eat them organic. Apples are top on lists of pesticide use. They are however filled with:
antioxidants, particularly quercetin, a supplement that Sally has regularly prescribed for my allergies. According to a 2001 Mayo Clinic study, Quercetin also helps to prevent the growth of prostate cancer cells.
pectin, a great source of soluble fiber that can help to lower bad cholesterol.
boron, a mineral that prevents osteoporosis thanks to its amazing bone-building properties.
Hope you’ll come to Miami again soon. I’ve been making the recipes I learned at Kara’s class and I am actually enjoying it!!! Definitely keep me posted. I’d love to host something at my house next time.
This a milestone in my life. I have never been called a good cook. Ever. Tonight Jeremy said, “You are such a good cook!” – I cooked Maria’s chicken and healthiest veggies ever plus leftover sauce with pasta! Love you, Elana.
Thank you Elana for such an incredible meal & being such a generous, passionate and fun host! You almost have me wanting to start cooking (which is saying a lot, believe me).

This makes me believe in myself.

I LOVED your cooking class Elana, and look forward to 1) cooking and 2) the next class!! You are so REAL and make healthy eating goals so much more manageable. THANK YOU!
Thank you for a wonderful class! You definitely inspired me to want to cook outside my normal flavors. I look forward to reading through your site and emails!
Better than Spago, Cecconi’s, or any other restaurant!
Thank you for this enlightening class! Delicious and fun. I so rarely cook fish – but am off to Citarella for a branzino for the kids today!
See you again soon.
Thank you for all the love & laughter you put in to our cooking class! It was a truly great night and I’m so appreciative of your passion and energy for food and your ability to bring people together!
Elana, thank you so much for last night! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to make the dinner for my hubby. He is the cook in our family and I can’t wait to impress him. You made it fun and not intimidating for all of us.
