Strawberries
Strawberries grew wildly in my backyard when I was a young child. Does that happen anymore in Los Angeles? They are quite good for us. Strawberries:
- contain ellagic acid which has anti-carcinogenic properties. (Research points specifically to the protection of cells against cervical and breast cancers.)
- are anti-mutagenic, yes, that means anti-MUCUS.
- improve appetite, which for most of us is not a problem.
- are high in vitamin C
